Grading Assignments September 2014

If you’ve added an assignment to a content space in your course site, at some point you’ll need to grade what you’ve collected. This video walks through the process, including looking at and commenting on student submissions online, viewing SafeAssign originality reports, and clearing attempts.

* NOTE: When adding feedback to student work, make sure you click outside your comment on the student’s page to save your comment. If you click directly from your comment to the scoring space, your comment will be lost.

Creating an individual account in Ebsco September 2014

When you click a link to an EBSCO article inside a course site, you’ll be taken to a page that prompts you to log in. This refers to a personal account you’ll need to have created before clicking the article link. Fortunately, creating an account is easy to do.

First, go to the Re:Search portal (http://research.udmercy.edu). Click the Articles, Journals, + Databases tab.

Then, click E (as in Ebsco) to open the Databases + Journals E page.

If you are off campus, you’ll need to log into the library’s off-campus using your TitanConnect user name and password. Click on the Ebsco Databases link to open the EBSCO Choose Databases page.

Click Sign In in the upper right corner.

On the Sign In: EBSCOhost page, click the Create Account link to the right of the Login button.

Complete and submit the form.

Now, when you click a link to an EBSCO journal from inside a course site, you’ll need to log in using the username and password you just created.
